One thing I have stressed over and over again in my own life, my friends and family is the importance of planning ahead.
In order to live a simpler, less stressful, less chaotic, less hectic, less cluttered, and more enjoyable life, we need to start planning ahead.

Everything from work, events, vacations, meals and basic home care — becomes simpler and more enjoyable when planned in advance so you’re not worried and rushing at the last minute.
Over the course of my life, the benefits of planning ahead have far outweighed any amount of effort I put into the planning.
Planning ahead allows me to focus on what’s IMPORTANT to me, instead of dealing with the URGENT.
When I plan ahead, there are very few “urgent” tasks or obligations I need to frantically tend to at the last minute. Instead, I can focus my time and energy on what’s more important to me at any given time.
For example, if I don’t plan my meals ahead of time, dinner becomes URGENT right around 5:00pm when my girl gets hungry. At this point in the day, I’m likely to feel annoyed because as I’m now trying to race around the kitchen to cook up something pretty fast and my grumpy, whining daughter seems to be stationed right in my way. I am getting hungry too.
This kind of tension in the atmosphere is just enough to make me want to give up and ask hubby to get us some not so healthy fast foods because I simply didn’t take the time to prepare or plan in advance and I am too tired to care.
You’ll be amazed by how much simpler your life will feel when you can focus on the important things rather than always stressing about urgent tasks.
Of course, there will be bad days and last-minute change of plans and that’s okay. After all, there are always exceptions to the rule… but if you’re working hard to plan ahead, such instances wont stress you out.
Dont let your “urgent” get in the way of your “important”?
Plan ahead!
