“There is enough time for self-care. There is not enough time to make up for the life you’ll miss by not filling yourself up.” Jennifer Williamson
What is self-care?
It is those activities and practices we engage in on a regular basis to reduce stress and enhance our well-being.
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary simply puts it as; “care for one self.”

Self-care shouldn’t be regarded as a luxury, reward, or self-indulgence.
Why does self-care matter?
Looking after ourselves is so important. When we take time to replenish, it allows us to give the best of ourselves to the world by living our purpose and sharing our gifts.

Choice of self care activities:
The self-care activities we engage in should be able to cater for the three major areas of our well-being. I.e.;
1. Physical well-being: i.e. being comfortable in and with your body, the body’s energy levels and physicality
2. Mental well-being: which includes emotional life, nurturing of hobbies, excitement about life and growth
3. Spiritual health and well-being: includes ones purpose, passion and relationship with God.
