My 2020 goals

I can’t believe we’re already seven days through January and I haven’t said a word about goals yet!
How I love talking about goals 🙂

Last year, I made a list of 5 personal goals and 5 business goals I wanted to work towards in 2019. And while I really did a satisfactory job following through with those 10 goals, I feel like 2020 needs to be a year of ‘Ultra Simplicity’ for me and my family. We have actually taken up ‘Ultra Simplicity’ as our main objective this year; as we continually strive at finding just the right balance between home, work, family and life.

My year of Ultra Simplicity might look like this:

  • Not stressing over small issues.
  • Purging everything we don’t need, use, want, or love so as to create more free space in my store having discovered that it creates more calm in my home.
  • Saying nope to activities that aren’t necessary, don’t make us happy, don’t enjoy doing or don’t align with our goals.
  • Making time for family, friends, hobbies, rest, and leisure.
  • Simple meals —which I plan to share a lot as well this year.
  • Saying no to opportunities that might not be the best choice for us at this stage in our life.
  • Lots and lots of lists because this is still the best way for me to organize my brain 
  • Granting myself grace when needed.
  • Tracking our finances.
  • Giving when opportunities arise.
  • Being intentional about taking breaks.

Despite the fact that my list is ever growing, my main goal for 2020 is to approach each of these mini goals and projects with the concept of Ultra Simplicity in mind.
I’m very excited to do this year with you! May God direct our steps.
